I would like to write about my disappointing story which at first seems to be a good one. I do ride sharing and I found a great application called GasBuddy. I’m so happy to use Gas Buddy with its exaggerating claim to let me save up to Ā¢.30 per gallon. Of course, for a driver like myself, saving this much per gallon is a great help.
Well, I had a slap right in the face today, February 28, 2018, when a charge of $29.00 didn’t go through my account. As I was reading this failed transaction I was puzzled about the location of that transaction. It says 7:00 A.M. in San Francisco. I otherwise I could have been sleepwalking putting gas in my car at this certain time as I am not aware that I did this.
If we all know how hard it is making a living here in the high priced San Francisco area we will relate to my frustration. And to get scammed instead of making our life a bit lighter. Never use GasBuddy it is a scam!!! This given company that I don’t even dare to say the last word of it for it’s backstabbing me by stealing from me in spite of its overstate promises.
I’ve been using GasBuddy for almost half a year now and it’s scary how much money is stolen from me by this company. I tried to reach their customer support by phone but it is impossible to reach them. I sent an email to their support and I never get replies. I immediately called my bank, Bank Of America, to block this rip off transactions. I was double charged and I was being charged gas prices that I didn’t even make? One trick they play is that they never charge their customers right away and seem to earn transactions then they will randomly make the charge. This will make the busy customer not realize that extra charge they made. This truly is overwhelming. Anyways I’m responsible for this error of trusting this company and the most important thing is I’ve seen their deceptions.
I advise every driver like myself who are using GasBuddy to review their ACH transaction, which is what will be listed on their account for Gas Buddy, to take note of their gas expenses with them and make sure that they made this transaction as I’ve learned this bitter lesson from them.
